A downloadable game for Windows

Patch Notes Version 0.2:

  • Added a complete menu screen with graphics options, input bindings etc. etc. Sorry, no FOV because it's gameplay specific. The extra tracks to unlock are fake. It's just to show future functionality.
  • Full gamepad support in the menu and game.
  • Added new Boost effects and sounds
  • Added new Launchpad building for a more consistent-looking starting line
  • Tweaked the Canyon track, made the glass highway a completely circular tunnel for more fun racing on the walls/ceiling.
  • Added some environmental effects like ducks and fish to the lake area as well as added more greenery there.
  • Changed the look of the Player rider and replaced the UE4 Mannequin on the AI Bikes.
  • Fixed an issue with the bike getting stuck on some changes in terrain - it's now butter smooth transitioning across surfaces, however, when you run into something there's a TON of bounce back. I see it as a gameplay trade-off though; you're supposed to avoid running into walls.
  • Added Position and Distance Indicators above the A.I. riders so you can more clearly see where they are.
  • Removed the ability to change to a first-person camera (might add it back later)
  • Uploaded directly to itch.io instead of through Google Drive.

Known Bugs:

  • There's a glitch with the gamepad keybindings showing as mostly X and A. The default bindings work fine, but the menu shows them incorrectly. Still trying to sort this out.
  • I recommend set the resolution before adjusting the Window Mode when adjusting the display settings as every time you hit one of the arrows on the Window Mode, it applies the settings instantly. Less a bug and more a byproduct of not adding a separate "Apply" button.

This is a hoverbike racing game that I've been playing around with in UE4 for the past few months part-time. Most of the core gameplay is finished, but there's no win condition yet so basically infinite laps.
Just thought that I've been the only one looking at it for long enough, I'd love to get some eyes on it to see what people think.

Controls:

Keyboard - WSAD, Shift (boost), Space (Jump), C (Change Camera).
Gamepad - Left Thumbstick, Right Trigger (Gas), Left Trigger (Brake), A\X (Boost), Y/Triangle (Camera), X\Square (Jump).

System Requirements:
Sorry, only Windows support right now. I'd imagine the minimum requirements are on par with what you need to run Unreal Engine 4

  • Quad-core Intel or AMD, 2.5 GHz or faster
  • 8 GB RAM
  • DirectX 11 or DirectX 12 compatible graphics card (GTX 1060 or AMD RX580)
  • 7.5 GB HD Space

Is development on this prototype still ongoing?

Not actively at this moment. It’s something I plan to come back to in the future. I want it to have more of a Jet Moto vibe. I’m teaching myself more about programming at the moment.

I really like it so far, definitely could see a lot of ideas that can be added already. I could see it being a really fun game once it gets fully developed. Great Job so far!

Thanks so much.

Hey TorQue  This is Dan. Bro this is fun as hell!! I love the Speed and the controls on the hover bike are are tight!! Cant wait to try this with online Multiplayer!

Hey Dan! We'll see if it ever gets there :P Right now I'm just focused on Single Player but we'll see what the future brings.

As of 11/23/2021, this one is an unmixed bowl of really fun ideas that's on its way to becoming a super tasty concoction.

Seems like a promising foundation. I'm excited to see how this one develops as features get added and gameplay gets refined.

2 things I know people like; hoverbikes, and racing hoverbikes.

I'll be keeping a close eye on this one

Thanks, Bronto! Glad you like it so far.
